NADAR POOLS CONCRETE POOL EXCAVATIONS

EXCAVATION

The excavation process consists of removing the earth from the ground where the pool will be built. Size and dept will dependent on the desired size and dimensions of the concrete pool the client is seeking to build.  Additionally, special consideration of where the installation of drainage, water supply, and pump placement will need to be addressed before the digging even begins.

During the marking and desired area for the future pool, a 3 ft wide and 2 foot deep decking of concrete around pool must be considered so that there is excess space for filling in gaps, as well as the emptying and installation of the internal plumbing pipes.

PLUMBING

The installation of the drainage and water supply is an extremely critical component of your new pool. This is typically made with high pressure resistant PVC pipes that allow the passage of water to be freely circulated between the pump and pool.

Plumbing of a concrete pool is typically buried under the ground for equipment protection and ease of access, therefore, the ground must be dug deep enough to install the drain to an area of the backyard where the water can drain freely and unobstructed.

CONCRETE POURING

Pouring of the concrete for your new pool is THE MOST important step in the process. Great care in dispersal of the concrete and proper curing is critical since this will be the firm base upon which the pool water will settle all its weight on.

The first step is to place a rebar mesh to give stability to the concrete that will cover the pool. Then, the mixture is poured by spraying it onto the rebars with a special machine to give it the desired shape and depth, without causing any structural cracks that can cause water leaks in the future.

PLASTERING

When the concrete has fully cured, the plastering phase is what follows. Not only is this the phase where the pool is given its texture  appearance and finish according to the client preference, the plaster also provides an additional layer of protection to avoid any water leaks as well.

Tile & edge work can be used to give it a more elegant and luxurious appearance, which will also protect the concrete from possible cracks in the future.
